DSL / WAN / VoIP – Solutions for Business
We are confident that your business will derive more benefit from our broadband solutions than any other.
Multi-location businesses: Businesses with multiple locations (branches, stores, offices or schools) are increasingly recognising the benefits of higher levels of network security and the lower costs of maintenance and support. The quality of our WAN links mean that businesses can share network based software and applications such as CRM, diagnostic tools, LAN access and CAD files at speeds that increase productivity, reduce costs and improve service levels to customers.
Small Office/Home Office (SOHO): For small business / stand-alone businesses our broadband solutions provide high speed and high security internet connections.
Some of the services we deliver in fully managed or unmanaged environments include:
TLAN (Transparent LAN): A service from a carrier that connects remote networks together using private links. It is called “transparent” because the connected networks are viewed as one Ethernet network by the customer, regardless of the technology employed by the carrier in between.
VPN (Virtual Private Network): A technology that uses the Internet to connect computers or networks to remote computer networks that would otherwise be inaccessible. A VPN provides security by encrypting traffic sent through the tunnel so that it stays isolated from other computers on the intermediate network. VPNs can connect individual users to a remote network or connect multiple networks together.
WAN: A computer network that spans a relatively large geographical area. Typically, a WAN consists of two or more local-area networks (LANs). Computers connected to a wide-area network are often connected through public networks, such as the telephone system. They can also be connected through leased lines or satellites. The largest WAN in existence is the Internet. The above mentioned TLAN and VPN technologies can be integrated into an existing WAN or utilised to create a new WAN infrastructure.
VoIP / Telephony: Is an exciting technology that will revolutionise the way you make phone calls. Reduce telecommunication call costs by up to 84%. VoIP allows you to make and receive inexpensive telephone calls over your existing broadband connection at a fraction of the cost.
Fibre: Optical fibre is a top-of-the-range business connectivity solution. Fibre provides super-fast speeds, ranging from 10 Megabits per second (Mb/s) to 1 Gigabit per second (1000Mb/s). It is generally required for inter-site connectivity or Wide Area Networks, and high speed internet connectivity.
Ethernet First Mile (EFM): A service that utilises multiple copper pairs with the ability to supply bandwidth up to 20Mbps in both directions. It is an ideal solution if you’re not quite ready to make the investment to fibre services. EFM is a synchronous service providing equal upload and download speeds, which is perfect for providing your employees remote access to your company network, VoIP solutions, web hosting, VPN, video conferencing or for any business needing to send high volumes of data at high speed.
